Logistics Lead (full or part time maternity cover)

The opportunity


We are looking for a logistics and warehousing enthusiast to take ownership of our fulfilment operations for a period of/up to 12 months, supporting a rapidly growing and evolving business. You should be a self-starter with a passion for providing excellent service and continuously improving operational efficiency and process with a real appetite to deliver a first class, ecommerce experience.


What you will be doing

• Maintaining strategic, commercial and operational relationships with our third party logistics and warehousing partners in the UK and the US
• Supporting 3 rd parties in achieving key performance indicators whilst ensuring that day-to-day warehouse and fulfilment operations meet service levels and productivity expectations
• Planning ahead with partners to ensure capacity is available to meet growing business demands
• Overseeing the logistics technology roadmap, working closely with the Development team to improve, in particular, carrier and warehousing integrations
• Owning the specification and supply of all required packaging provisions
• Oversee the freight planning and execution for stock transit from suppliers and between warehouses ensuring right stock in right place as required

Who you are


We’re looking for someone dynamic and organised. You’ll need to have great vendor relationship management skills and the ability to think strategically, whilst keeping a close eye on the detail.

• A great communicator – both externally and internally.
• An influencer – the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Kind - this is one of our most important hiring criteria. You will need to demonstrate that you work effectively in teams, can leave your ego at the door, and will collaborate effectively with your peers


Desired skills

• Successful track record of managing 3 rd party providers as well as overseeing and driving improvements in daily operations
• Enthusiasm for working within a fast-growing ecommerce business
• Leadership experience
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills are a must
